Hello Wikimedians,

WikiConference North America 2025 from October 16th to 19th, 2025 is just a few weeks away and we're excited to welcome over 300 participants from across the United States, Mexico, Canada, Central America, and the Caribbean to NYC for 4 days of cultural experiences, speakers, and workshops! There are a few important announcements to make as the conference approaches:
  • The deadline for in-person conference registration is next week Tuesday, September 30th and tickets are selling out fast. If in-person tickets are sold out, you are welcome to get a free virtual ticket and participate in the conference online. Or you can join the waitlist.
  • The culture crawl and programs schedule for WikiConference North America are live! And registration is open for the culture crawl. Spots are limited for the culture crawl tours so please be mindful of capacity.
  • All registered in-person participants will receive access to an event manual closer to the conference that will include detailed information about event logistics and trust and safety. If you are a registered attendee, please keep an eye out for that in your emails.
  • If you signed up to volunteer at the conference, thank you! You should have received a volunteer survey and calendar invites to the volunteer orientation calls. If you didn't receive that, please let us know.
