Hey NC Wikipedians! I hope you're all doing well and that you'll forgive my radio silence. I've been contending with some health issues that have been worse than usual of late. But we're long overdue for a meeting. Would Thursday, June 1, at 7pm work for those who are inclined to attend? Please let me know, either on or off list.

I also wanted to let you all know about a workshop this Thursday that may be of interest. I heard about Wiki Workshop from a professor at UNC's School of Information and Library Science, who studies Wikipedia. From her email:

"Wiki Workshop is a forum for bringing together researchers exploring all aspects of the Wikimedia projects. It's a place where we create bridges between the research communities and many other communities that make the Wikimedia projects a reality: volunteer editors, developers, academics, affiliate organizations and user-groups, policy advocates, and beyond."

This is a workshop by and for people who do research about the Wikimedia projects -- rather than one by and for the editing communities. But I'm sure there is considerable overlap!

Registration is free: (https://pretix.eu/wikimedia/wikiworkshop2023/)

Even if you don't attend, you can view some of the abstracts, which cover topics such as:
If anyone attends, I'd love to hear about it!
