I'm excited for this! Thanks for counting me once -- I wasn't sure if Eventbrite was easier, etc.

Should I plan to bring my laptop to the event? I know we talked more about cake than editing, but I wasn't sure if editing was a component of this. I'm totally down either way, whether it's just networking, or involves contributions in some way.

FYI—January Wikipedia Day planning seems to be going well.

We have been promoting through the traditional Wikipedia MeetUp page, a FB event, and an EventBrite event. Richard Knipel has been helping behind the scenes with getting the word out as well.

Here is what we have so far for RSVPs (and Paul K I am only counting you once, OK, lol):

Wikipedia MeetUp: 7 definites, 3 maybes

FB event: 2 going, 18 interested

EventBrite Event: 17 going (we think—someone made 10 RSVPs, not sure if this is a typo or not)

Still—looks like we will have @ 20-30 people in attendance!

Thank you to Richard for helping spread the word! I look forward to cake, coffee, and conversation with everyone! I will bring my Wikipedia swag bag—I have lots of buttons and stickers to share.
