This might be of interest, particularly if you're going to be attending WikiConference North America!

One more FAQ -
* Q: do you have to be attending the conference in order to fill out the form?
* A: nope! Even if you can't come, take the chance to highlight your group!

Hi all!

We would like to display small posters at WikiConference North America highlighting the wide variety of affiliates working in North America!

I made a form for each affiliate to fill out:

Deadline: Nov 1
What to do: if you are leading a Wikimedia affiliate that is based in North America (eg a usergroup or chapter) or a Wikimedia affiliate that is international but has active activities in North America, please take a few minutes to fill out the form!

I will then take each affiliate's answers and put them into a small poster template, to print out & display during the conference.

==FAQs==
* what if I miss the deadline?
You can bring your own poster if you want! 11x17 or smaller please

* what if we aren't yet a usergroup? But just a meetup group? Or what if we aren't a formal affiliate but we do a lot of Wikimedia stuff? Or what if we want to be an affiliate in future?
If you feel like you are an organized group that does Wikimedia stuff, feel free to fill out the form regardless of formal affiliation :)

* who should fill out the form?
Whoever can get the info to me by Nov 1!

* What if we don't like your poster design?
You can bring your own poster! These posters won't be fancy so if you want a special design please feel free to make your own. Again, if you are making your own, 11x17 or smaller and deadline to bring the physical poster is Saturday am, the first day of the conference at MIT.

* where did this idea come from?
This is inspired by the community village at Wikimania 2019, where Cornelius organized a very nice display of posters from international affiliates

* what's the point?
We do a lot of cool stuff across North America, and this is to help all attendees understand the reach and breadth of Wikimedia affiliates across the continent!
