Chère Mademoiselle, Je vous remercie pour votre initiative. Je suis sûr que votre initiative est excellente. Elle sera importante pour améliorer la conscience des nouvelles générations à propos des projets Wikimédia. Ce genre d'institutions servira aussi à améliorer la couverture des universités dans Wikipédia et par conséquent améliorer le classement des universités tunisiennes dans le WRWU. Néanmoins, je crois personnellement que votre initiative ne ménera nulle part. En effet, suite aux expériences précédentes dans ce domaine dont les miennes, ces clubs ont échoué à former des contributeurs réguliers de haut niveau à Wikipédia. Dans la Faculté de médecine de Sfax, j'ai réussi à former 32 contributeurs dont 2 seulement sont devenus des contributeurs réguliers à Wikipédia et les 30 restants ont cessé de contribuer à Wikipédia après la formation détaillée. La seule bonne chose est que 68% des générations nées en 1994, 1995 et 1996 sont conscients qu'ils peuvent contribuer à Wikipédia. Alors, vu que la création de ces clubs coûte de l'argent et vu que son efficacité est limitée, je crois qu'on doit créer un projet plus efficace et plus original. WikiWomen Camp

Dear all, I had some discussions during the current WikiWomen Camp with Maria Sefidari, WMF Vice-Chair on the future of the WWCamp; the frame and the next host. Both Maria and Katherine Maher the ED are super excited of the idea of having the next Camp (in two years) in Tunisia. For the time being, there is no bid for the host. If we step in and say we'll be the next host, it will be accepted. The current organisers would help as well. So now, it depends on the Tunisian community first then the Arabic/African community. What do you think of it ? This year, per request from WMF, only 13 countries will be allowed to request funding to participate with local events. Moreover, amongst those 13 countries, some will be covered by the WLAf Project Grant in the same way than in 2014-2015-2016, whilst some will have to request a Rapid Grant to WMF. This is the list of countries who should ask a Rapid Grant if they want to join in * 1. Egypt 2. Tunisia 3. Cameroon 4. Nigeria 5. Ghana 6. Côte d’Ivoire 7. Algeria 8. South Africa * *Of course, we would support those asking for the rapid grant as needed. The main benefit is... that local budget can potentially increase given that max budget for a Rapid Grant is 2000 dollars. * *We will reach out to all groups individually anyway to discuss this. * This is the list of countries who should follow the same process than last year if they want to join in * 1.
