Reusing some of the work from the SFMOMA virtual editing session I helped with last month, I'm helping staff from the African American Museum & Library at Oakland and the Oakland History Center with this upcoming virtual editing session on May 26: https://oaklandlibrary.org/events/aamlo-online/wikipedia-edit-thon-aamloohc

The theme is contributions of African Americans to college activism and the Black Power and Black Arts movements of the 1960s and 1970s. In particular, this got sparked when Liam of East Bay Yesterday produced an episode about the influential Afro-American Association and noticed that it doesn't have a Wikipedia article (yet): https://eastbayyesterday.com/episodes/were-no-longer-afraid-to-be-black/
Sign up and share with anyone who may be interested! It's always great to have a bunch of experienced editors around to help newcomers.

It takes some getting used to - collaborations are back! Great work in pulling this off. Always good to see new people getting engaged, so kudos for getting them that far. Is there something specific you could use help with, or are you all set? It sounds certainly like you are well prepared for this :)

Thank you for offering help! It's pretty much set up - I'm using a similar process/strategy that I tried at the SFMOMA meetup in March ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Meetup/San_Francisco/Art%2BFeminism@...), which went well. I plan to try to document it after this second time, and I'll share a link here.
