While I'm not in the Bay Area proper (I live in Sacramento), I'm about two hours way and visit frequently (Mom lives in Fremont). I only work three days a week right now, and I'd be happy to speak. I've spoken at conferences before, both technical and more philosophical (Extropians). I was greatly involved in the early days of Wikipedia and in the creation of its software.
