does anyone on the list have recommendations for SF (preferably SOMA) design firms that could help us with basic CI stuff, but also event-based things like dinner invitations & signs? Obviously we can always check Yelp & Co., but if you have personal recommendations, we'd appreciate them :-)
Second that - Similarly, would like to know of any great printing/gfx output companies that can do large format print jobs - or other weird, similar stuff.

For big print jobs, I recommend Elabra.
Ask for Tim Kelly at (415) 289-5000. They're likely to be well-disposed toward Wikimedia -- they've asked me about open source online document management in the past.
