Hi!
Does anybody in area has access to 3D scanner?
I want to scan some coins for Commons, but this is still in planning stage.
Related questions:
* How long scanning of single coin's side could take? * Is there open format for such images which could satisfy Commons requirements? Question of viewing aside for awhile :-)
Eugene.
Hey Eugene,
TechShop has a class and NextEngine 3D scanner: http://techshop.ws/take_classes.html?storeId=4&categoryId=28
Cheers, Stephen

Hi Eugene,
I just started working for TechShop. I would be happy to setup a tour and may be able to talk to some people.
They got every kind of different equipment you could imagine. It is really cool.

Hi, Erik!
It's great!
If you'll have some free time, could you please find answers to questions I have (necessary time, resolution, file formats)?
One of my friends have quite good collection and I could borrow some part of it for some time, but I need some estimates for planning purposes :-)
