Dear Wikimedia-SF,

I'm so excited about the West Coast WikiConference happening this weekend, January 15! We are very pleased to have two fabulous speakers lined up:
Ward Cunningham, inventor of the wiki, and Kevin Kelly, co-founder of "Wired" magazine. We plan a day-long event of speakers and open space sessions, followed by a special birthday party for Wikipedia hosted by the Wikimedia Foundation (offsite at GAFFTA).

The conference is filling up quickly -- we are at over 2/3 of our absolute maximum capacity for the venue! THE DEADLINE TO REGISTER IS THIS WEDNESDAY. You can register on Eventbrite: http://wcwc2011.eventbrite.com

If you are planning to come, please register ASAP so we can plan the food etc. There is also a scholarship for current project contributors who can't afford the ticket; please let me know (by sending your situation and your username) if you are interested in this.

Additionally, we are looking for on-site volunteers to help with registration etc. Let me know directly at phoebe.ayers@gmail.com if you can help.

Thanks!
Phoebe
