Hi everyone!
Thank you all for coming to the meetup yesterday!
Lots happened!
- Rosiestep gave our first remote presentation, on Wiki Women in Red. Find her slides and call to action here. If you create a page after being inspired by the presentation, let us know! Thank you for bearing with us through tech difficulties - we'll be better prepared for next time...
- We discussed and implemented changes to our membership and voting process! You can find the final version here: https://meta.m.wikimedia.org/wiki/Talk:Bay_Area_Wikipedians_User_Group#Membership_and_voting_process . Thank you to everyone who volunteered to become a member. If I missed anyone when I gathered user IDs and email addresses for people wanting to become members, please let me know.
- We heard from the developer of https://factorday.com/, a series of games and puzzles based on the Wiki API. Check it out!

Wiknic / July meetup
Our July meetup will be on the 12th, a Saturday, at 10.30am. This is a potluck and a social event (with some crafts, a screenprinting station and wiki games). Please register here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Event:Bay_Area_Wiknic_2025 and invite others who may have an interest in Wikipedia. It has not been announced by central banner yet, but last year we had a large number of registration, so we welcome all help by Wikimedia editors interested in talking to the broader public about their work.
That's all for today!
See you next month.
