We stopped in there during a Wiki Loves  Monuments event (Wiki Takes Berkeley) last year and they were totally stoked on the idea of doing work with Wikipedia...so I'd surely check out the historical society.

Re: Berkeley Wikipedians
How about the Berkeley Historical Society?
They are open and staffed by volunteer docents most Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 1 to 4 pm. Located at 1921 Center Street, about halfway between Milvia and Martin Luther King Jr Way, 1 1/2 blocks west of the Downtown Berkeley BART station. Several AC Transit bus lines serve the downtown Berkeley area.

That way we could work with their collection!
