Your efforts are commendable. I have endorsed you and have a couple of things to add.
* You may invite them to collaborate and set up an independent WikiJournal in their respective speciality. You may read more about this Wikipedia integrated journal by going through this editorial article.
* Another utilizable section of the population is the section 'wasting' their time on the social media. Although this is a highly diverse (and definitely not-expert) population its sheer mass can do wonders. We just need to figure out how.
