Dear Viresh (viresh.raj.sah@gmail.com), Wiki Medicine discussion, Lydia (Pintscher), All,

Thanks so much for this opportunity, and greetings from the US in asylum on its eastern seaboard from the SF Bay Area, where I don't think I can attend this session on Sunday per previous Wikipedia communications, and I don't think I can edit this page either - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:SWASTHA/Meetups/25August2024#Participants regarding https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:SWASTHA/Meetups/Wikipedia_Healthcare_Conference

Thanks, Scott

PS
Here are my written responses to the survey for the record in email -

Introduction to potential and new Wiki healthcare editors into the concept and best practices of wiki-editing, wiki-teaching and wiki-learning, and with a focus on healthcare and medicine

explorations of emerging wiki artificial intelligences and approaches to machine learning, and in all of Wikipedia's more than 300 languages?

#AgingReversal and #ExtremeLongevity Genetic Drug therapies emerging (see #Hashtags on Twitter) in all the languages of the wiki health care community

The wiki-editing health care community might benefit from increased high-quality editing and participation from health care editors with specific knowledge too (learned from eg courses), and in all, for example, 22 scheduled languages in India (even anticipating, for example, all 453 languages in India, and even all 7164 known living languages, per The Ethnologue) beyond Wikipedia's more than 300 languages ... to help many many people with Wiki health care. With #AgingReversal and #ExtremeLongevity Genetic Drug therapies and related science emerging (see #Hashtags on Twitter), there will be great benefits for the Wikipedia health care community to focus on these in all Wikipedia's languages (and see the iterating Aging Reversal Genetics' wiki subject at WUaS https://wiki.worlduniversityandschool.org/wiki/Aging_Reversal_Genetics)

Out of the box: planning for wiki health care articles for example on telerobotic surgery, how about an introduction and early information sharing into a wiki #RealisticVirtualEarth (on Twitter and see - https://www.toolify.ai/ai-news/revolutionizing-education-with-machine-learning-and-ai-2574306 - for realistic virtual earth) potentially in an emerging wiki physical-digital #RealisticVirtualEarthForSurgery ?

?Changing Wikipedia's culture and approaches to inclusiveness in so many ways, too?

Thank you for your response.

I have shared the link with health editors in my community. I will be available for the call too.

Kudos to the team!

Hi Abdulkareema tesleemah,

Thanks for the suggestions, we will surely look into them. As for your query: Participation in this event is open globally, not just limited to India.

Thanks and Regards,
Viresh

This is an exiting one. I am interested in this project, as a board member for Wiki Project Medicine. I will propose you partner with the Thematic organisation. You can reach to the chair, Dr James. Also, I want to make enquiry if this conference is limited to people in India, I see that the project SWASTHA is majorly for Indians.

Dear All,

We are a global group of Wikipedia editors who contribute to healthcare articles across various language Wikipedias. We have been meeting online regularly to discuss the unique challenges we face in maintaining and improving healthcare content. After many discussions, we believe it is high time for healthcare editors to meet in person and collaborate more effectively.

With that in mind, we are planning the first-ever Wikipedia Healthcare Conference, scheduled for early next year. This conference aims to bring together healthcare editors from around the world to share their experiences, exchange ideas, and work together to improve Wikipedia's medical content.

This is just the beginning, and we want your input! We’ve created a basic survey to gather feedback and ideas on how we can make this conference as impactful as possible. Please take a moment to fill out this community engagement survey and share your thoughts: https://forms.gle/VpBJcBfWbThcni5q8

Additionally, anyone interested is welcome to join our periodic online meetups. We’d love to see broader participation, both in our meetups and at the upcoming conference. Our next Community Meetup is scheduled for Sunday, August 25th, 2024, at 8:30 PM IST / 11:00 AM EDT. You can sign up here:Wikipedia:SWASTHA/Meetups/25August2024 - Wikipedia

The meeting link will be updated on the page and shared in follow-up emails.

Please complete the survey by August 24th so we can better gauge community interest and make this conference a success.

Looking forward to hearing from you and seeing you at our meetups and the conference!

Best regards,
