Good day gentlemen,
Thank you for having offered your support and time to the Wikipedia in African Libraries project so far.
The course has participants French-speaking participants from Algeria (4), Benin (18), Burkina Faso (1), Burundi (3), Cameroon (5), CAR (1), DRC (3), Côte d'Ivoire (19), Gabon (3), Mali (5), Morocco (2), Tunisia (5) and Togo (1). The
list of participants on the meta page is still being compiled as the class submits their user names....
The French speaking students have their live sessions on Wednesdays at 1200GMT. As I had explained earlier, the course needs, in this case, French-speaking Wikipedians from the continent who can act as guest presenters and translators for the live sessions (sharing your wikipedia knowledge). Attached is the training schedule for the French-speaking classes, you can choose the topic you feel comfortable presenting or have experience in and I will then send you the course material (slides) so. We can discuss how to conduct the class.
I also need your help in the following areas :
- Translating the project's meta page to French (suggestions on it's visuals are also welcome).
- Translation of some of the course content.
- Arranging for virtual meet & greet sessions between the participants & their local Wikimedia communities.
- I am open to ideas on how we can support them through their class WhatsApp & Telegram group (it's exclusively in French)
Merci par avance
