Hello and Good morning!
If anyone is interested in attending this conference in December, please reach back to me.
Hoping 3 Wikimedians can attend this on behalf of User Group Sri Lanka.
The conference is over the weekend, on the 2nd and 3rd.
Thanks and regards,

Hi Rehman -
Thanks for your note. We’re looking for ideas about interesting local projects that might want to share with a global audience. We’ll have at least 120 people from more than 80 countries attending the Summit, so as much as we can learn about local initiatives involving digital media (with a special interest of mine in digital inclusion - i.e. marginalized or underrepresented communities).
As someone working on a grassroots level, perhaps you or your colleagues might have suggestions for us on some of these initiatives. It could potentially be presented as a panel or a talk.
Last time, we had a panel about how Wikimedia Philippines is helping promote linguistic diversity through Wikipedia. But maybe it is not necessarily the case in Sri Lanka.
Really, we’re open to ideas on what you think might resonate with an international audience from your local perspective.
Thanks,
Eddie

Hi Eddie,
My apologies for the late reply, again. And thank you for your email.
The conference sounds quite interesting, much like our own "Wikimania" conferences. May I ask though, how could we help enrich your conference? Anything in particular which your team would expect from us? I could then pass on the info to my colleagues and see if anyone else from the local Wikimedia group will be interested in joining. :)
Looking forward to your reply.

I’d love to consider a panel involving the Wikimedia community or about free knowledge/culture in Sri Lanka. Let me know if you have any ideas.
Thanks!
Eddie
