According to the preliminary statistics, this year's contest has seen:
* 37 countries participating in Wiki Loves Earth (the highest number since the contest was founded);
* more than 85,000 photos uploaded to Wikimedia Commons;
* over 8700 participants.

The organizing teams are expected to determine winners for each country's contest throughout July. The international team will post local winners on social media (https://www.facebook.com/interwle, https://twitter.com/WikiLovesEarth, http://instagram.com/wikilovesearth) as they are announced. International winners will be announced in September.
