I appreciated the recent note from the Wikimedia Foundation https://diff.wikimedia.org/2025/02/13/wikimedia-brasil-becomes-the-newest-wikimedia-chapter/ about our journey within Wikimedia, as it highlights how we continue to attract and retain our greatest asset: Wikimedians! In that note, I also see our evolution from a gathering of geeks for the good to become open-knowledge advocates. The challenges are immense, and Brazil (and the world!) needs us more than ever.
I want to send my deepest gratitude to everyone who helped build this new chapter (pun intended!) with us, and I hope that more and more communities consolidate and strengthen themselves, especially in the Global Majority World. If you ever need us for anything, you can count on us—we will always answer the call of the community!
