Hi everyone,
This year we received 63 proposals for the Wikimedia Research Fund https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Grants:Programs/Wikimedia_Research_%26_Technology_Fund/Wikimedia_Research_Fund [1] and we have advanced 13 competitive proposals https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Grants:Programs/Wikimedia_Research_%26_Technology_Fund/Wikimedia_Research_Fund#Review_submissions [2] for further review. We would like to invite you to provide your feedback about one or more of these proposals by May 12, 2025. You can do so by clicking on the proposal you want to review, and leaving feedback in the Discussion page corresponding to the proposal.

The "Important Dates" section https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Grants:Programs/Wikimedia_Research_%26_Technology_Fund/Wikimedia_Research_Fund#Important_Dates on the linked page says:
"May 14, 2025 Application notifications"
That was a month ago, so I guess that by now the applicants have been told whether their proposal has been successful or not. However, none of the proposal pages https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Grants:Programs/Wikimedia_Research_%26_Technology_Fund/Wikimedia_Research_Fund#Review_submissions have been updated yet with that information. Is there a timeline for when the decisions from this round will be made public so that the community can be aware which of the proposed research projects are going ahead with this funding?
Regards, Tilman

Hi Tilman,
No later than mid-July. We sent out the notifications to authors on May 14. We have a few conditional accepts and are working with the proposers to see if an updated proposal can be achieved that meets the interests of both sides. We would like these decisions to complete before publicly announcing the results.
Best, Leila
