We are the Conference Fund Committee and we are a group of experienced Wikimedians, who are dedicated to ensuring an equitable and transparent process as part of the Conference and Event Fund program. 

The program aims to support Groups, individuals, and Wikimedia affiliates that are looking to bring together Wikimedians and visionary allies, for Local, regional and thematic Community Conferences.

An important aspect of the Wikimedia Foundation’s funding programs is the role that volunteer committees have in providing both guidance and support to applicants as well as making decisions about how movement funds should be distributed. Based on the movement strategy recommendations, we maintain committees that enable communities in each region and thematic areas to have a central role in setting priorities and allocating funds for specific types of initiatives.

Right now we are looking for 3 new Conference Fund Committee members to be part of the team! If you are interested or know someone who would be interested in becoming a Conference Fund committee member, please fill out this google form survey application by June 3rd 2024.

• Onboarding for new members - July 1st - July 22nd 2024
