Official legal policy is to comply with properly
crafted takedown notices.
This has been our policy since long before I arrived at WMF. I'm surprised
that you didn't know this before now.
And what is the process _after_ the takedown?
Did the National Portrait Gallery not provide a properly crafted take
down notice?
