Hi everyone,
@Stella - Thank you for reaching out and asking the question! As it is
rather specific, I will respond and continue this conversation in a private
thread.
For everyone to note - providing data packages is indeed something we can
do to support participation in the movement strategy online discussions:
- We are happy to process your request for the group as part of your
Rapid Grant application [1], and
- We will follow-up with you if you have stated the need in the
registration form for global events [2].
Thank you for your kind attention!
Kaarel

Hello Kaarel,
Please i need your advice, in other to encourage more women
participation, we were thinking of giving data scholarships/packages of
$20-$25 to at least Twenty five women(25) who might need it, but the
problem here is since most of our participants are in different countries,
i do not know how to go about it, because if i make the request on their
behalf i do not know how they will receive it. been racking my brains on it
before applying for the grant, and this might be the situation for
subsequent events, since our membership spans across different countries,
please can you propose a solution to this for me before the scholarship
window closes.
sorry i know this is coming late.
Best Regards
Stella

Hi everyone,
We are announcing the opening of Movement Strategy Rapid Grants [1].
The grants are intended to support organizations and project communities in
organizing local, regional or thematic discussions on Movement Strategy.
The purpose of the grant is to encourage community participation,
provide the necessary online tools and software, enable facilitation and
documentation for the discussions, and share translated information. Rapid
Grants can support your event plans with a budget up to 2,000 USD, with no
minimum requirement. We are accepting grants between October 26 and
November 12.
In our global discussions, we often have more participation from
established affiliates and online project communities, and in general from
those who are relatively financially secure to take the time to organize
and participate in events. We hope that this grant program will enable and
support a wider range of organizations and communities to take part in
strategy discussions.
Grant details
Scope: For organizing Movement Strategy discussions, for example:
-
to discuss local, thematic, and regional priorities for
implementation
-

-
Contracting someone to facilitate the calls
-
Contracting someone to take excellent notes during the call

Mobile data packages for a reliable connection

A simple report from the meeting or the list of prioritized
initiatives for implementation.
-

Kaarel
