Hi everyone,
Following the Global Council draft that was published two weeks ago, it is my pleasure to announce that the Hubs draft chapter and the Charter Glossary is out for your review and feedback. It has been a long process for the Movement Charter Drafting Committee to deliver these drafts, and we are excited to share them with you.
In the Hubs draft, you will find the proposed definition and purpose of Wikimedia hubs: the set-up and governance process for hubs (which also includes an open question from the committee), responsibilities, fundraising, and fund dissemination as it relates to hubs, and more.
Now, we are looking forward to your feedback in order to improve the drafts. Learn more about Hubs in our new blogpost on Diff, respond to the draft through the Talkpage on Meta, and join upcoming conversations to share your thoughts before September 1, 2023.
We also invite you to join us on July 30 at 14.00 UTC for a live call and ask your questions. Register here to join us on Zoom, or set a reminder on the Wikimedia Foundation YouTube channel for a livestream of the call!
We value your participation and look forward to working together.
On behalf of the Movement Charter Drafting Committee,
With kind regards,
Ciell
PS: For your convenience, the Hubs draft and Charter Glossary are available on Meta in Arabic, Chinese, French, German, Hindi, Indonesian, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish and Ukrainian (same for the previously shared Global Council draft.)
