One might even regard many articles as having a homeopathic nature.
Someone starts the article, and over time and many successive edits that
person's contribution becomes diluted until it vanishes. There's often
nothing of left of it to copyright.
That might happen on some of the most visited articles. But on most articles I
made or signifficantly contributed to, I continue to see my text for years
and years.
