Hello! 

 

On the last day of February, Wikimedia Ukraine held its General Assembly.

 

The General Assembly has reviewed the organisation's activity in 2020. Among other things, the General Assembly has also elected new Board and Audit Committee [1].

 

The new Board are:

* Illia Korniiko (user:Ilya), Chair of the Board

* Bohdan Melnychuk (user:Base), First Vice Chair and Secretary of the Board

* Mykola Kozlenko (user:NickK), Vice Chair and Treasurer

* Ihor Makovskyi (user:Mcoffsky), responsible for our program "Content Enrichment”, which includes editing challenges and contests, photography contests and GLAM

* Nataliia Lastovets (user:EleNte), responsible for the program "Increasing Participation", which centres on the Wikipedia Education Program, as well as Wikimarathon and diversity initiatives.

* Anton Obozhyn (user:Tohaomg), responsible for the program "Community Support and Development", which includes community events, training for volunteers, scholarships, and microgrants.

* Olha Milianovych (user:MeOlya), responsible for the programs "Awareness about Wikimedia" and "Advocacy", which are concentrated on media publicity, promotion activities, and free panorama advocacy.

 

Congratulations to Olha and Ihor, who have been elected to the Board for the first time, and thanks to the outgoing Board's members Pavlo Sokhan and Ihor Turzhanskyi for their service.

 

Our new Audit Committee consists of:

* Serhii Lypko (user:Сергій Липко)

* Maryna Liutynska (user:Марина Лютинська)

* Viacheslav Mamon (user:Venzz),

 

Congratulations to Serhii and Maryna for having been elected to the Audit Committee for the first time, and thanks to outgoing members Oleskandr Havryk and Ihor Makovskyi

 

We would also like to express our gratitude to WMF Trust and Safety team who have helped us organise the elections via SecurePoll on vote.wikimedia.org. Although the extension recently started to be in active development phase again, it is currently rather difficult to manage and we are very happy that the team has provided us very extensive support.
