With due apologies for the odd way of snipping, I think this would be
useful to have. The Book Fair is a long set of days and, often, the
rush of crowd into a stall cannot be predicted but causes much
disturbance. Having more feet on the ground would help create clusters
of crowd around the stall with individual volunteers doing their
talk/introductions etc.
However, the flip side of having more volunteers is that a greater
amount of time needs to be done in setting up the roles, tasks ie.
planning. This would probably require more investment of time from the
original group who are leading and coordinating this participation.

Hi Jayanta,
Hope you are doing good. :)
I'm writing with a request for advice and to forward some help to you. The
Campus Ambassadors in Pune are a really nice and energetic and hard working
bunch of guys. (I think you already know Debanjan - who is one of the
them.) I mentioned the Kolkata Book Fair and they were really excited and
offered to help. (In fact, a bunch of them were helping other community
members in Pune to be at Wikipedia stall at the recently concluded CDMA IT
Expo in Pune. I hear it was a good success!)
Some of them have volunteered to come down to Kolkata and help out in the
Book Fair (for some of the days.) Some of them are native Bengali speakers
and some can do outreach in English.
Do you think it would be useful? If so, would you ask the other folks from
the West Bengal community if they think it is a good idea?
Do let me know and I'll make sure we organise this well.
Thanks
Nitika
