Dear Friends,<br><br>Some of you may already know of the death of Dr. Sharmila Rege on July 13, 2013 [1]. For many people, especially in Pune and Maharashtra, who think of her as a hero, a mentor, and
    one of the strongest voices in Indian Dalit feminism theory and
    practice, it has been a great loss.  From the CIS-A2K we were in active conversation with her to introduce Wikipedia as a pedagogic activity in her Department and in Pune University.<br><br>The articles on Rege on English WP [2] and Marathi WP [3] are stubs. There are already some who are trying to expand the article on EN WP. Thought some of you would be interested in joining hands in expanding these articles. A Wikipedian&#39;s way of honouring a hero like Rege.<br>
