Most newbies would couch their calls for assistance in respect of such matters in a courteous manner. While the answers (and suggestions) in this case have been enlightening, they hardly add to the knowledge of routine email etiquette. I do hope the requester meant the queries in the same spirit of good faith that characterises the replies. I have noticed an overdose of trolling and personal attacks on our lists in recent weeks, and it would be a shame if this gives the impression that such stuff is par for the course.

I don't think I'm on the pune and media lists, so have omitted them from the cc. I have included Anirudh because nabble may need to continue a complete log of this thread.
