Agree with Dhaval and Srikanth. I think next to wiki, mailing list has good archive system as well. We could easily retrieve mails as per months, subjects, etc. 

Also, it is really hard to track communication in different places. 

Maybe if some important discussion is happening there or here, someone can take some efforts to divert people there by asking their attention.
