So I went to the Ghana Wikiproject today and noticed a message.<sup>1</sup><div><br></div><div>tl;dr: The Wikimedia Netherlands has donated some 2,000 historic images, going back as far as almost a century related to Africa, South America and Southeast Asia.<span style="font-size:10.4167px"><sup>2</sup></span></div><div><br></div><div>Specifically to Ghana, I doubt those images (very old) could be found anywhere, such as this <a href="https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Category:Fort_Kormantin#/media/File:Fort_Amsterdam,_schietgat_bastion_-_20652263_-_RCE.jpg">1953 image of Fort Amsterdam.</a><sup>3</sup></div><div><br></div><div>I am impressed and really thankful for such a generous donation to Wikimedia Commons relating to Ghana&#39;s history.</div><div><br></div><div>Now I guess it&#39;s about time we put those images to use!</div><div><br></div><div>I hope more are shared as and when they become available. Kudos, WMNL.</div><div><br></div><div>Checkout the category to find images about your country too.
