Please see attached Keta Lagoon Proposal.

 

This is a first draft which only really flags up some issues without going into practicalities.

 

It refers to the Humanitarian OpenStreetMap Team with which some of you may already be familiar. If you want to know more about them you can see how they respond to the Ebola outbreak here:

I feel Open Street Map is complementary to Wikimedia, but realise some people may feel it is a distraction from what Wikimedia Ghana should focus on.

 

I also feel that Wikimedia can provide more accessible articles to support the data gathering that HOT are involved in.

 

If anyone can spare the time to consider what I have put in the draft, I would welcome any comments.

 

I would also be interested in whether Wikimedia Ghana would be interested in getting involved in such a project should it come to fruition.
