Hope we all enjoyed the holidays
and are ready kick start the year with some rejuvenation. It
is my pleasure to announce to you all the
Wikipedia Zero Project is now live and
you can all benefit from this now. You can now browse
Wikipedia and other sister projects for free via MTN, see
press release here. The best part of
it is we (editors) can also edit contribute to Wikipedia for
free.
I am extremely excited to inform
you that for a period of 5 continuous weeks, we will be
hosting training sessions for individuals who wish to
contribute to Wikipedia and to project the image of Ghana
while contributing to the sum of all human knowledge through
rich contents on the platform. These will be held as part of
a project titled
Edit Ghana which focuses on retaining
editors for the cause of contributing contents from our part
of the world, to serve as a useful resource for Ghanians and
to further compliment opportunities such as the
Wikipedia Zero Project.
Just as posted on here earlier the
Edit
Ghana project has been approved to run the phase 2
which is pilot for the real deal, phase 3. We are looking at
creating a community of active and committed editors who
will help us champion our goal to achieve this worthy cause.
