I think we can save docs some traffic by pointing users to this instead:

List of every bot on Wikipedia:
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Special:ListUsers/bot&offset=&limit=500&group=bot

Then, we can point them to check their
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Preferences#mw-prefsection-gadgets

There, they'll find under 'Editing' some of the most used editing bots or Gadgets. Very handy and they can enabled quickly and straightforward.

Then, anyone in this list who has other bots not covered in the above areas might want to share.

Then, we point them to https://lists.wikimedia.org/pipermail/wikimedia-gh/2016-January/002910.html for them to bookmark that link.

Then, done!

In this way, its easier to search, and add to, plus anyone learns a new bot shared directly to the list as the message hits their emails, compared to having to go look at who-knows-where doc file to see an update. That's a two-step process

Praise be to Mailing List!

Hi.

I know longtime editors have their favourite robots(bots) and other tools that help them edit Wikipedia.

Can we all share them with the new members? Just go to this doc and follow this format:

Bot or tool name:
At least one main thing a new user can use it for:
A link to read more about the bot or tool:
