The WMF is running a Global South User Survey 2014. Among the list of countries part of the Global South, only Egypt is listed. Is Egypt only the country in Africa part of Global South?

I agree with the words of Isla, found at: https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Research_talk:Global_South_User_Survey_2014/Questions

"I was, however, really surprised to find that the entire continent of Africa is excluded from this survey (with the exception of Egypt, that is lumped in with Arabic states and therefore is obviously - in this context - not regarded as part of Africa). To me this seems really quite strange.
Could you please express your reasons for this rather massive, and obviously intentional, oversight. Perhaps you have a different strategy with regards to this continent of 1 billion people, and if so, what and why?
I look forward to your response. Islahaddow (talk) 09:09, 7 October 2014 (UTC)"

There are now 3 Wikimedia recognized user groups in Africa, plus one strong Wikimedia Chapter, which happens to be at the Southernmost part of the African Continent.

We'll love to be enlightened on the new Global South Strategy, and what countries the strategy applies to. I know only eight countries were handpicked out of the many countries in Global South, but at least, could Africa be more represented?
