Asaf Bartov, the Senior Program Officer, Emerging Wikimedia Communities, Wikimedia Foundation will be visiting Ghana from the 18th  – 23rd May 2018.

We have a set of events around his visit from  Friday 18 – Tuesday 22 May 2018.

He’ll be handling Wikimedia Ghana User Group and OFWA but the announcements here apply to Wikimedia Ghana User Group members. The events include Wikidata editing, licenses, capacity building and a group dinner.

Per his request which we also agree with, the meetings and training's are restricted to active members only.

Active here means regular editors and Members here means – of course, you have to be a registered member of the user group.

Anyone whether in Accra or elsewhere can attend. If you live outside, we can arrange for accommodation from Friday to Sunday and flights for you but it will be subject to Asaf’s approval.

You book it yourself, and you’ll get reimbursed upon submission of a receipt.

Regarding food, the event will provide two tea breaks and lunch.  The event ends at 5 pm or 6 pm, so dinner will not be provided, nor funded.
