Hi Rexford,
My name is Rexford. Myself and a couple of friends of mine are currently working on making a list of monuments, forts and museums here in Ghana (where I live).

We've come up with the list of many of the forts, monuments, and museums, with pictures attached to few.

Please view where we've reached so far here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ghana’s_material_cultural_heritage

This could be an area where Wikimedia chapters in
Sweden and Denmark could create some activity, based
on these countries' 17th century involvement in slave
trade and colonialism (in Denmark's case until 1850).

I was previously on the board of Wikimedia Sweden, but
left that position in February this year. But I think
they are constantly looking for new interesting
projects, especially when it comes to international
collaboration. Here is also a possibility to collaborate
with Swedish and Danish archives and museums.

Hmmm... Nice suggestion there. Sounds really great. In fact, we, in Ghana, planning a wikimedia local chapter is currently open to collaborations.

But since we're kind of 'newbies' to this whole world of wikimedia, maybe sharing some nice guidelines on how we should go about the collaborations will be much appreciated.

Rupert (copied; WikimediaCH) introduced us to WLM and he's gradually guiding us through.

For me, any collaborations are welcomed, and we're ready to learn more of how to make that work.

I don't think its a bad idea that other initial members of planning wikimedia ghana wouldn't love to get involved.

Thanks.

;-)     Happy Wikimedians
