Interesting.

What venue have they been looking at?

A classroom should surely suffice and should be easy to get?

Hello all,

A bit late but the event ain't coming on today too.

The reason? The venue the school plans to allocate for us is busy, so I'm told we'll get feedback before end of this week when and where it'll happen next week.

It'll come on, just like the Legon event, will just take a bit of time for things to fall in line.

Will keep all updated.

Hello all,

The event discussed below won't be happening today nor tomorrow. There's an ongoing something-week at Poly so the letter has been sent in indicating the date to be the 2nd of November, 2016.

Probable time given us is 12 noon. Will communicate further details as and when I get it.

At least, an extra week to prepare, I think.

@All,

Will love to have a helping hand on the letter of proposal to KTU: https://docs.google.com/document/d/13lIZ717xZKPJIQQSozPOz1U8oOSK2jVqItupxsKXy-Y/edit

I wasn't good at writing in school (I did run away from english class almost all the time)

The letter now has a structure. Will appreciate completing it.

@Justice, could you help me on it?

thanks

Also do not forget to give me a heads up so I can properly address it on our social media pages when a concrete date and time is agreed.

Thank You

I think it is currently ready to some extent, as the logistics. The letter is more like to make the event official, and enable the faculty to put that on paper for daakye as3m. It is government thing so...

Great news, seeing this from Barcamp Koforidua too!

When logistics are set for the KTU workshop, kindly let us know.

I'd say this first session focuses on getting content into Koforidua related Wikipedia pages. That should be enough for 90 minutes.

Whoever is in charge of the proposal letter can get a sample letter to build upon from me.

Regards,
Ato

Good day,

At Barcamp Koforidua over the weekend last week, I met Mary, a lecturer at Koforidua Technical University. Mary got interested with the Wikimedia word, and has discussed with her team. WGUG has been invited to run a session at KTU.

Will be sending a proposal letter before end of today. In the letter, we're asked to indicate one of the days below, and explain what we plan to do that day.

Probable days given us are next week, 26th (Wednesday) and 27th (Thursday) of October. We been given a max of 3 hours, but I strongly suggest we stick to a max of 1 hour 30 minutes

So, anyone wanna start the proposal letter and share with us? Do we have a letterhead, as in, WGUG?

What should be the focus of the sessions? Wikipedia? Wikidata? Wikimedia Commons? or any other sister project site? Wikipedia Education Program?
