Thanks Felix. You can use our Wikimedia Ghana blog to write about the event.

Everyone else can use the blog to write about tech related stuff provided it doesn't cast non-constructive negative light on our parent Wikimedia.

We are trying to diversify content which reflects the community members' interests and abilities. We are just trying out to see if it will help site traffic and make us more friendly/open and not just wiki wiki wiki.

Regards,

As part of the international development and volunteer community in Ghana, we view malaria work as an imperative piece of our contribution to development.

In a collaborative effort the SWAT Malaria Initiative has teamed up with the Tech Think Tank (T3) to add a modern twist to Peace Corps’ oldest malaria initiative.  We intend to apply technological innovations that will bring us to the forefront of the ever-changing battlefield against malaria.

We are hosting a hackathon with the support of Coders4Africa and Mobile Web Ghana. We will develop a number of malaria education applications.

The event will be held at Mobile Web Ghana in Madina, Accra on July 12th and 13th.  All interested computer programmers and coders should contact us. Meals will be provided.
