Hi,

First:

Planning Wikimedia Ghana is on the BC Koforidua shirt as you may have heard. I would like to thank Ato for this. Ato may be a Wikimedian but it is not to be taken for granted, we are grateful for the exposure. Ato, thank you as always.

Next:

The past weeks, irregularly, emails on how to do this and that for the people who joined recently were sent to mailing list. Now we are going to move into real editing.

I sent a link to a Google Drive document for members/trainees to give details about themselves. The last I checked only one person had. By Friday I will check again.

By that list I will assign tasks on revamping a popular article. I propose Azonto because PWMGH for a long time had wanted to fix it. We will this time, plus embed a video in it, as we now have permissions from Fuse's, Gamilla's etc management to use part of their videos for that.

We will also  invite senior editors in the persons of Rex and Enock to  request protection for the page against vandalism from the seemingly Nigerians editors who are desperately trying to claim Azonto. There will also be template adding and so on.

All of this is to show each other how to get stuff done on Wikipedia.

However Chris should note that now he can get directions as to how to start an article for Gasmilla since he hasn't started by his initiative.  He is therefore exempted from the Azonto article editing since that's not what he is here for.

News:

I was informed regular editor numbers have been good. Let's keep it going. When the current newcomers makes progress towards 100 edits, I plan to halt the training so we can now focus on getting to know each other well and about our group well.

Wikimania:

Anyone heard about Wikimania London? Can you tell us what you know? Is anyone preparing to go?
