"Who would you nominate to highlight on the Wikipedia Facebook page?

Last year we rolled out Facebook profile picture frames as a fun way to show your support for Wikipedia without a donation. We’re unveiling a new design this year, so let’s share the people behind the movement, while we’re at it! We’ll swap out Wikipedia’s logo on the main Facebook page for a photo of a daily featured Wikimedian and share something about their work. Promote your WikiProject, invite readers to your group, or tell the work “why #ILoveWikipedia.” Who should we amplify? (Yes, you can nominate yourself!)

As a way of supporting the foundation in their fundraising drive, we would like to profile all members of the Wikimedia Ghana User Group (If you are willing to be profiled) with a 140 character text of why you edit Wikipedia and its sister project in Ghana with the hashtag #ILoveWikipedia. You can send a preferred picture and 140 character text of why you edit Wikipedia if you want to profiled on our various social media pages.

Also be aware that once you choose to go public with why your work with Wikipedia you might encounter all sort of request about people wanting you to create articles for them. Please note that this might be an inconvenience to you but you can always refer those people to the notability criteria for article creation in Wikipedia. Also be on the lookout for people who are willing to do everything to be on Wikipedia.
