Hello. It's a good time for Wikipedia Election 2016 Project
Aim of project
*Simplify the search for information on Ghana's 2016 general elections, making Wikipedia the one stop shop for knowledge on the polls
*Wikimedia Ghana Usergroup will use the opportunity to recruit new editors by inviting citizens to join edit-a-thons and also improve information on the wiki
Who can participate in edit-a-thons?
*Everyone and open to public
Team to run project
We need a team of about 10 volunteers to fill the positions of
Project Lead(Vacant)
Social Media Lead (Justice)
Events Lead (Georgina)
Grants/Finance Volunteer (Vacant)
Volunteers (2 for articles on people) (Vacant)
Volunteers (2 for articles on places) (Vacant)
Volunteers (2 articles for issues) (Vacant)
Criteria to volunteer
Please have about 100 Wikipedia edits and you should be interested in election-related issues.
Deadline for expressing interest is Wednesday 14 September midnight
First meeting is on Saturday 17 September 2016. Please if you intend to participate, once you are selected, you must attend unless you don't live in Accra.
