Might I suggest an amendment to the two (at least that I saw in my quick reading) nondiscrimination enumerated clauses to include "gender identity, gender expression" to the list? Not all legal authorities recognize those as falling within gender, and without those provisions it is not considered a policy that protects LGBT employees who are most often fired for reasons of gender identity or expression as a loophole to sexual orientation protections. It also currently provides no protections for transgender people.

This would put WM-DC more in alignment with the city of DC's charter and laws..which have stated them as enumerated categories since 2005. Additionally the Wikimedia LGBT Outreach Project is planning to encourage WMF (where I suspect this language came from) and subsequently all chapters to adopt similar amendments - so WM-DC following DC's image as a leader on this issue would be very helpful. :)

Happy to volunteer my IRL services to amendment the language. I've had the privilege of helping a few dozen nonprofits, corporations and public universities do the same. :)

I should note, kudos for including the policies and having a number of great categories already included - like sexual orientation (a personal favorite..). :)
