Steering committee
At the January 30, 2008 meeting I would like to
discuss the formation of a steering committee. The purpose of this
committee will be to manage the project of forming the Wikimedia Canada
charity. This committee will remain in place for up to 3 years or until
the WMC charity is formed and a board is elected. Any suggestions on what
positions should exist on this committee, please feel free to comment here on
the list serv as it will make the meeting more efficient. I propose we
need:
1. Chairperson
2. Vice-chair person
3. Treasurer
4. Secretary (Organizes meetings, communicates results, maintains record of
meetings)
5. Legal adviser (Conducts research on legal issues relating to committee
activities and goals)
