What kind of problems do you foresee with incorporation if we kept the name Wikimedia Canada? I would rather keep the standardized name unless it would cause too many legal hassles. Most of the famous NGO with chapters in many countries use the standard name in Canada, so I don't see why that would be a problem for us.

I have altered the name used in the documents from Wikimedia Canada to Wiki Canada. The Chapter Committee does not have issues with this and it will makes us a little more independent and thus incorporation / charity status easier.

I have begun filling out the forms for incorporation / charity status. I am planning on using my address here in Cranbrook, British Columbia as the societies mailing address unless others have a preferred suggestion.

Once incorporated I think I will be able to get us an banking account without banking fees through National Bank.
