It is our goal to speak with WMF about getting access to the sub domain.  However, the organization needs to set up a web site and the easiest way to do that at this point is to use our own domain.  I know there are members on the list that have expressed some control over certain appropriate domain names, I just cannot recall who they were.

I believe Wikimedia also offers subdomains, something like ca.wikimedia.org ... but you'd have to confirm that with the Chapters contact at the WMF office.

Hi everyone,

We are looking to set up a web site for use by this project.  I recall that some individuals had identified they had registered some Internet domains that might be used by the organization when the need arose.  If you do have any domains registered that may be of use to the organization, please contact me directly by email.  As well, if you have an interest in helping setup/maintain the web site, please indicate your interest in an email to me.

Respectfully,

Alan Walker
