Well, there was consensus that we would like to have another Wiknic this summer: I will send out a poll for dates for that shortly!
We also discussed the Wikimania program and plans:
Several of us are attending Wikimania; if anyone is attending and would like to connect with other New England based people who are going, let me know.
We also discussed the PubPub project (a new collaborative editor developed by MIT folks) and discussed a book project to celebrate Wikipedia's 20th anniversary (which will be Jan 15, 2021) and look at lessons learned from the last twenty years of Wikipedia history. Draft essays submitted to the book are available now on PubPub for public comment, through July, here: https://wikipedia20.pubpub.org
Lastly, some of the attendees spotted a beautiful hawk that was hanging out in the 1 Kendall square plaza, perhaps also waiting for breakfast; maybe those pictures will get uploaded to commons :)
great to see those who could make it and I'll try to organize some non-last minute meetups for the future (anyone in the group is also welcome to propose a meetup). Look for the picnic dates poll next.
