Try "w:" or ":en:" as the interwiki prefix for wikilinks.  So [[w:Boston|Boston]] or [[:en:Boston|Boston]]. ("en:" without a leading colon won't work. Don't ask. :))

I created an account with no problems, and tried a test edit.

References to (English language) Wikipedia are not recognized; this is a classic namespace problem. How do I reference Wikipedia articles from the WikiConference.org namespace? Do I have to list the entire URL as if Wikipedia were an external, unrelated website?

Hello Boston area Wikimedians!

I have an editing task for the conference that needs local assistance - if you want to help out but only have a few minutes read on....

Our travel page needs some love:

we need to update it with info about getting from the airport to downtown and MIT; info on the T & charliecards, info on food in Kendall square around campus; maps, attractions in Boston... you get the idea. Please don't change the information on hotel discount codes, but everything else is fair game.

You'll need to make a separate account on the wikiconference.org site but otherwise it should be like editing any other wikimedia project. Please let me know if you have any questions! And thank you!!!

best,
phoebe
