I like this idea!  But I have not recently talked with any libraries about an editathon.  We discussed a Wiki Loves Libraries event this September[1], but GorillaWarfare[2] is coordinating that one.  Maybe she's recently spoken with local libraries?

I'd usually offer to help, but I'm especially busy getting ready Wikimania.  Best of luck with the event, Molly!

Wikimaniacally,
Eric

Dear Bostobridgians,

Molly de B. mentioned to me that some Boston and Cambridge area folks
who can't make it to Wikimania want to hold an editathon here in
Boston or Cambridge.  Perhaps one afternoon, for 3-4 hours, ideally in
a local library.

Molly's offering to organize the event :-)   Eric, have you talked
with any libraries recently about holding such an event?  I could
write to Michael Colford at the BPL.  Molly, what days would work for
you?  Let's make our request as clear as possible before pinging them
for space and perhaps librarian-attention.

I hope many of you are preparing for the NY editathon next week and
for Wikimania itself :-)

Regards,
Sam.
