Have you taken any good pictures of scientific subjects (lab equipment, visualizations, samples, plants and animals...)? Want to take some this week? Want to learn more about Wikimedia commons and how images work on Wikipedia? Bring your photos with you and come to the first ever scientific images edit-a-thon at MIT, Friday 10/21!

12-4pm on the MIT campus, room 14N-132; all are welcome:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Meetup/Boston/ImagesofScienceandTech

We'll teach you how to upload images and add categories, add images to Wikipedia articles, and how to edit articles; and if you already know how to do these things but want to participate and upload pictures you are very welcome - just sign up on the wiki page! We'll have snacks and good company.

We'll follow this up on 10/28 with a edit-a-thon focused on the rare books in the MIT collection: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Meetup/Boston/MITrarebooks

also 12-4pm in room 14N-132 on the MIT campus, this edit-a-thon will feature a short presentation by the rare books curator at MIT.
