There will also be brief evaluations of the candidates, as information
provided to voters; if you are interested in a bit of wiki-nomic
<https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nomic>, give a shout: we can appoint one
person

to
help choose a candidate-evaluator.

Dear NEW,
This year we have 13 candidates standing for election, and a new combined
affiliate/community process.
https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Wikimedia_Foundation_elections/2022
1) In early July, affiliates vote to choose a short list of 6 candidates.
(1 vote per affiliate)
2) in late August (15-29), the community will vote on that short list.
The candidates
<https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Wikimedia_Foundation_elections/2022/Candidates>
have provided initial statements. Phoebe & I will set up a way for you all
to cast votes for the shortlist; based on that we will file a single
collective vote for NEW.
The candidates will have a chance to say more about themselves on Meta; we
will point to that and any other detail when returning to this thread in
July.
Warmly, SJ
